One of the very best beaches in the Titusville area and one of the finest spots on the Space Coast, Cocoa Beach is a true joy for all the senses. The fresh ocean air will fill your lungs as the soft sands wrap around your toes and the warm Florida sun beats down, and that's when you'll understand why Cocoa Beach has consistently been classed as one of the very best beaches in the Sunshine State. More Ideas: Best Epcot Rides

Titusville hook up beach house

Florida is famous for many things, but the Sunshine State is best known for playing home to the Walt Disney World Resort and all four of its unique theme parks. Disney World is the most visited resort on the planet, with more than 50 million tourists jetting in from all over the globe each and every year to enjoy the thrills and spills of the various rides and attractions, as well as having a chance to meet Mickey Mouse himself and other popular Disney characters. Of all the four theme parks, Epcot is often regarded as one of the most special.

Opened in 1982, Epcot is dedicated to the theme of technological achievement and international cultures. Like a never ending world expo, Epcot is immediately recognizable for its huge sphere standing right near the entrance and visible from almost any area in the entire park. The park is divided into two sections: Future World and the World Showcase. The former is focused on various achievements of mankind like space travel and technology, while the latter is divided into 11 pavilions, each representing a country from around the world.

Best Rides in Epcot

With so many rides and attractions to enjoy all around the park, Epcot offers a treasure trove and adventures and experiences for people of all ages. The park’s theme and style also helps to ensure that many of the attractions are highly educational, as well as being entertaining. Here are some details on a few of Epcot’s top rides.

Spaceship Earth

It's impossible to talk about Epcot without mentioning Spaceship Earth. The oldest ride in the park, Spaceship Earth is actually located inside the iconic Epcot sphere. New visitors to the park flock here as their first port of call and it's a thrilling experience to simply step up into this impressive structure. The ride itself takes place entirely indoors and lasts for around 15 minutes; it's a slow-moving journey through the history of human communication, beginning in the prehistoric era and flowing through to the modern day, all narrated by Oscar-winning star Dame Judi Dench.

Test Track

Opened in 1998, Test Track is one of only a couple of Epcot rides that were truly designed with thrill seekers in mind. The attraction starts off by inviting guests to design their own cars, before then boarding a test car and heading off along a track with various obstacles to overcome, including tight hairpin turns and culminating in a 60+ mile per hour speed trial spin around a track which runs around the outside of the attraction. The cars designed by each passenger also undergo the various tests digitally, with the results and top scores displayed for all to see.

Mission: Space

If you've ever wanted to know how it feels to be an astronaut and jet off into space, this is the ride for you. This interactive, exciting ride opened back in 2003 and underwent a facelift in 2017. The ride uses centrifugal forces to simulate space flights, one of which goes to Mars and the other orbits the Earth. The Earth mission is less intense and better-suited for people who have physical conditions or fears about the Mars variant. Each passenger is given a job to perform during the flight, pressing various buttons when instructed.

Frozen Ever After

Located in the Norway section of the World Showcase, Frozen Ever After is one of the few genuinely Disney-themed attractions in Epcot, focusing on the hugely popular 2013 movie Frozen. This is a log flume ride in which riders get to float along past scenes depicting different characters from the movie, including Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven, as well as hearing cult songs like 'Let It Go' and 'Do You Want to Build a Snowman?' A huge hit with children, this ride allows fans of the film to live out their fantasies and get up close and personal with the various scenes and heroes they love so much.

Soarin’ Around the World

A thoroughly unique ride experience, Soarin' Around the World is a hang glider simulation that takes guests on a trip to various iconic locations around the globe. After taking their seats and attaching their belts, guests are lifted up over a gigantic 180-degree screen depicting locations like Mount Kilimanjaro, the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, and more. The ride doesn’t move too much but the huge screen and visual feast help to give the impression that riders are truly gliding over each different landmark.
